• Executive Committee

    The Executive Committee shall consist of elected officers and appointed officers, Past Basilei.

  • Program Committee

    Will review and judge the articles from the kriton and website.

  • Budget Committee

    Meet concurrent with the Executive Council meeting to prepare the budget and allocate funds for the efficient operation of the organization.

  • Scholarship Committee

    The purpose is to establish scholarships for young women and young men interested in teaching or related fields of education as a career.

  • Technology Committee

    Focus on providing sorors with an understanding of the concepts, terminology and operations that relate to general computer use. She provides the essential knowledge needed to function independently with a computer.

  • Sisterhood Committee

    Call and visit our sick and shut in sorors. Sends flowers and cards to sorors life changes and grief.

  • Membership Committee/Krinon Club

    There shall be a minimum of three (3) approved applicants to form a Krinon Club by the Dean of Pledgees, under the direction of the Basileus.

  • By-Laws/Constitution

    Study, revise and update the Chapter Bylaws of theSorority to enable them to remain functional, explicit, timely flexible, and aligned with the National Bylaws.

  • Xinos

    To inspire high educational, ethical, moral, spiritual and social standards in our female youth.

  • Kudos

    To inspire high educational, ethical, moral, spiritual and social standards in our male youth.

  • African-American History

    To foster and expand the knowledge of the contributions of African Americans and world culture.

    To develop within African American youth knowledge of,and pride in our racial history and heritage.

  • Professional Development

    Provide direction in educational and sororal leadership training to meet the goals of the Sorority, administrative roles of committee members and officers; members’ roles, in alignment with all components of the Y.E.S. Programs.

  • Anthropos

    Made up of the spouses, male relatives, or gentleman friends of Sorors who are committed to supporting the sorority’s program, social and financial activities.

  • Touch A Child/Early Childhood

    Works with local daycares/ early childhood centers to provide programs and activities to teachers and parents regarding children and school readiness.

  • Commission on Civil Rights in Education Voter Registration Campaign

    To focus on matters and issues involving the civil rights of children, youth, adults and professionals in education.

    To keep the membership aware of such issues and to secure and provide information pertaining to these matters.

    To keep abreast of legislation, on local, state and national levels, which affects education, educators and students.

    To suggest appropriate legislation to address educational concerns.

  • Founder's Day

    Founders’ Day shall be observed annually by all chapters during the month of May.

    Joint celebrations, where possible are encouraged. This observance is in recognition of the Founders of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated.

  • HUB Parents

    Members shall be the parents, relatives, and guardians of the Xinos or Kudos.

    Hub Parents shall be responsible to the sponsoring chapter and operate under the auspices of the local chapter to which they provide volunteer support for the Xinos and Kudos activities.

  • Health, Nutrition, and Hypertension

    To provide a vehicle through which African American adults and youth may be better informed of the importance of proper nutritional diet and the devastating effects of hypertension on health and longevity of the lives of African Americans.

  • Literacy

    To supplement the classroom work by providing opportunities for cultural enrichment for children, youth, and adults.

    To raise the inspirational level of the reluctant learner.

    To raise the level of achievement of children using the classroom teacher, senior teachers and mentors.

    To improve the educational level of adults.

  • Teach-A-Rama

    To acquaint teachers, parents and the community with various aspects of the field of education.

    To assist new teachers in adjusting to the teaching profession.

    To provide professional experiences for teachers by conducting seminars, workshops, and/or demonstrations

    To offer assistance to teachers who encounter professional and personal problems relating to their performance as teachers.

    To acquaint the public with the latest innovations in the field of education.
